Sensational vs. Newsworthy News: Beyond the Clickbait

We’ve all seen headlines that are shocking and downright captivating. Many of them operate like clickbait and before we know it we’re reading about a recent celebrity appearance at a gala or trying to find out what dog breed we most embody. Sensational news differs from newsworthy news in that the information presented is current, relevant, and likely to affect a group of people, not just interesting.
