Understanding Your Audience on Social Media

If I could go back and change social media posts I have written, I think I would spend more time understanding my audience. Lots of times, making a post felt a lot like throwing out a message into the ether hoping someone would catch it. The more I learn about social media the more I learn about how many different audiences there are for so many niche interests, cultures, and groups. Understanding your goal and the audience is vital to knowing the best way to put your specific message out there.
